Finding your way round the Studio
The two modes of the video studio, clips and coaching, and what each part of the screen does.
For coaches
The Studio is where coaches turn footage into teaching. Club admins, head coaches and coaches can open it from Studio in the top menu. On a phone it is under More.

Open any video from the library and it opens in the studio. The studio has two modes.
Clips mode
This is where you cut a game into plays. The footage sits in the middle with the transport controls and the timeline underneath. On one side is Clip tools, with the Mark a play buttons, Capture frame and the form for a new clip. On the other side is the Clips list of everything you have saved.
- Mark a play: one press saves a clip around the playhead.
- The timeline: a filmstrip of the footage you drag across to choose a play.
- Clip tools: name the clip, choose its category, period, clock and players, then Save clip.
- Send to family in the header sends chosen moments to one player's family.
Coaching mode
Press Draw and coach on a clip in the list to open it on its own. The drawing tools run down one side, the coaching panel on the other. From here you can draw, record a coached video with your voice, compare the play with another video or a rink drill, add it to a practice or a review playlist, and write the cue the family will read. Back to game moments returns you to clips mode.
