Programmes and routines
The difference between a routine and a programme, the built-in ones, and how to build your own.
For coaches, families, players
A routine is one workout: exercises in order, each with sets, reps or seconds, and rest. A programme is a few weeks of sessions that ask a little more each week.

Built-in programmes
Six-week foundations, Four-week starter, Pre-season power, Stick skills at home, Speed and agility, Core and balance, Strength (U14 and older), Mobility reset and Goalie foundations.
Built-in routines
These include Leg power, Strong legs, Core for hockey, Balance and edges, Quick feet, Groin and hips, Upper body for shooting, Recovery stretch, Full-body circuit, Strength session (U16+), Stick skills, Shooting practice, Jump and land, Ladder and feet, Pre-ice warm-up, Netminder session, and Hip and groin care.
Building your own
- On Train, press New routine or New programme.
- For a routine, add exercises in order and set Sets, Reps or Seconds, and Rest. Join exercises to make a circuit: one set of each in turn, for a number of rounds.
- For a programme, add phases with a number of weeks, sessions per week, and the targets for each week.
- Save it, then set it for a team.
Families and players can make their own routines too, with New routine on their Train page.
