Reporting a safeguarding concern
How anyone at the club, parents and players included, tells the safeguarding lead about a worry, and what happens next.
For coaches, families, players, club admins
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. If something worries you about a child's safety or wellbeing, tell the club's safeguarding lead. You don't need to be sure.

- Open More, then Report a safeguarding concern.
- Choose what kind of concern it is, and say in a sentence what it's about.
- Say what happened in your own words, and any words the child used. Add when and where, if you know.
- Say who it's about, what you've done so far and whether the child's parents have been told.
- Press Send to the safeguarding lead.
You get a reference, and Concerns you've raised shows when the lead has picked it up. The lead is alerted in the app, by email and on their phone; none of those alerts say what the concern is about.
